Eating Eggs: Visitors to Westaway Poultry can take home a variety of delicious eating eggs (subject to availability of course). We are now selling boxes of 'Rainbow' eggs loved by the children who are always fascinated by the selection of mixed colours- white, blue, brown, green, cream.
Hatching Eggs: We always have a good supply of fertile eggs from all our breeds - with excellent rates of hatching . Please telephone through so that we can discuss your requirements and advise on seasonalities and availability. We always seem to have orders in hand and not hordes of hens. So please contact us well in advance and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.
Eggs sent out are only a day or two old and will have had fertility and hatchability checks carried out.
Please note that hatchability will decline for posted out eggs. We pack them as well as we can to prevent breakages but it is not possible to guarantee the same sort of hatches from posted eggs compared to those that are collected directly from us.
Unfortunately the whole of Ireland, including Northern Ireland, is designated as export to the EU so we cannot supply eggs (or birds) there. Ditto the EU and rest of the world. Due to the demand from site visitors we have investigated the requirements needed for selling and exporting hatching eggs to customers around the world. However, due to the strict legislation regarding the movement of livestock and associated costs this is currently impractical.
